Privacy Policy

MasterSet · Last updated: 2026

MasterSet does not collect your data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. Nothing you record in the app is sent to a server operated by the developer, because there is no such server.

What the app stores, and where

Everything you enter — which cards you own, quantities, condition, grades, values you set by hand, notes, photos you attach, and your bookmarks — is stored on your device.

If you are signed in to iCloud, that information also syncs through your own private iCloud database, so it is available on your other devices and survives losing a phone. This uses Apple's CloudKit. The developer cannot read, access, or recover anything in your private database. It is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

You can turn this off by disabling iCloud for MasterSet in your device settings, in which case everything stays on the device only.

Services the app contacts

To show card information, the app requests publicly available data from third parties. These requests contain no personal information and nothing about your collection — only which cards the app needs to display.

As with any internet request, these services receive your device's IP address. Their own privacy practices are their own.

Photos

If you attach a photo to a card, the app reads only the image you select. It does not access your photo library otherwise. Photos are stored alongside the rest of your collection and sync through your private iCloud database if iCloud is enabled.

Shared card links

Sharing a card creates a link containing only that card's public identifier. It contains nothing about you and nothing about your collection. Opening such a link without the app installed loads a public page that requests that card's details from TCGdex.

Support email

If you report a problem, the email is pre-filled with your app version, device model and iOS version, so the issue can be diagnosed. You can see and edit all of it before sending, and delete anything you'd rather not include. Emails are used only to respond to your report.

Children

MasterSet does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Since no data is collected, there is nothing held about you to access, correct or delete. Your own collection data is under your control: export it to CSV at any time from Settings, and delete it by resetting your collection or removing the app.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
